Welcome to the email-migration.io Migration Shop information & help page. This page shows you how to perform a migration and gives some helpful tips.

The Start page

On the Migration Shops main page, you can see 6 icons:

View Dashboard - View your Dashboard, this lets you see your purchased, used and available migration tokens. Also you can see the list of migration you have created.
Go to Cart - This will add one (1) migration token to your cart, you can add more, and you can now go to the checkout
Start a Migration - This will directly start a migration. If you are not logged in, you will be taken to the cart to purchase a migration token first
Login or Register - Here yu can login to your account, or register on the site
Account - This lets you view or edit your account data, and view your orders
Information & Help - This takes you to the Information and Help page (i.e. the page you are currently viewing)

General Procedure

The migration shop is built like a assistant - there is no browsing for the product, as there is only one product available: the migration itself.

The assistant consists of 3 steps:

Login (or create a account first)
Purchase migration tokens
Start the migration

Lets take a closer look at the single steps

1. Login / Create account
If you already have a account click on the Login button and log in.
Alternatively, create a new account (which needs to be done once only)

2. Purchase migration tokens
Now you can purchase migration tokens. Click on "Go to Cart", this will add 1 migration token to your cart and display the cart.
If you need more migrations, enter the respective number and click the refresh button next to it.
Now click on purchase and complete the checkout.
You have now purchased migratin token(s), these will be displayed as "Available Migrations" in the Dashboard.

3. Start the migration The last step is to actually start the migration.
Click on the "Start a migration" button and enter your credentials for source and target account, and enter a start date.
After submitting the data, the data will be checked, if this is successful, the data will be transferred to one of our migration servers.
You're done now, all you have to do is to wait until the migration is completed. Check the Dashboard page to see the current status of your migration!

Helpful Tips & Tricks

Here are some Tips & Tricks that can help you with a successful migration

- If your available migrations in your dashboard is 0, you cannot perform a migration!
- You must be logged in to migrate your email contents.
- The migration wizard lets you select a email provider (like e.g. web.de gmail.com, gmx.net, etc). In this case, a IMAP migration will be performed (emails only), and the servername will be prefilled and cannot be modified!
- When purchasing migration tokens, discounts are available (applicable per order only).
- some email providers have restrictive access policies. You might want to whitelist our migration server IP ranges to avoid problems. Please see the IP lists below.
- When performing a migration, you need the credentials for source and target accounts. Without this data, a migration is not possible.
- If (at least) one of source or target account is a IMAP account, Groupware data cannot be transferred.

In case you are having trouble migrating, these are the IP ranges you might want to whitelist on your server:
